Hansel made his way to the main office of the Hawthorne School of Equestrian arts looking to secure board for his two equines still held up in the confines of quarantine. Hansel was originally from the outskirts of Gratz, Austria and had moved to Fort Worth a few months back when his job transferred him to Texas. He had a slight problem as his current place of board for his Lipizzaner and Gypsy Vanner pulled out from beneath him a week or two before both were expected to be released from the United States quarantine, which means Hansel had to think fast.
Hansel glanced around the well lit stable through a pair of black rimmed spectacles as he passed a few rows of perfectly manicured dressage studs. It seemed most of the stallions were the typical warmblood or sport horse breeds. He could carefully pick out the Hannoverians and Oldenburgs since he used to frequent premier dressage and three day events just to watch the equines perform. With the pure dressage competitions it was merely to watch his competition and see what types of horses the judges were favoring over the others. Of course, America did have a new set of expectations for its riders and what breed their horses should be. He simply shrugged at the thought and past by the stallions. Some which tossed their heads with ears pinned back in the typical territorial stallion approach and those with light nickers wanting attention. He had a feeling that Trompeta would enjoy himself here.
Trompeta was Hansel's most prized equine out of the two that he owned currently. Trompeta is a Piber Lipizzaner, born and raised for the dressage ring, which has led Hansel to many stunning victories and titles in the Austrian and German circuits for Dressage. Some of those said victories were very hard to obtain and were quite the surprise for the duo.
Hansel felt a light smile tug at the corners of his mouth thinking about the event that paid him enough money to buy his second equine, a beautiful black tobiano Gypsy Vanner mare named Berlin. He only purchased her because of her stunning beauty and sweet temperament. That and at the time he was just starting to get into the driving scene and needed an equine to either show or to at least practice on. She had definitely earned a place in his heart since she has provided him and Trompeta with pleasant company on their journeys across Europe, but for now he was horse less for a week or two more pending if he had board.
Hansel finally arrived at the main office and took a moment to compose himself before knocking upon the door. He just hoped he was able to afford the board for both of his equines after having spent so much to get them here.He would feel more relaxed once he knew his horses had a home in America as well. With that Hansel knocked upon the door hoping the barn manager was in.
