"I'm all set. Chaos doesn't need to learn that bad habit." He was a strong believer in never letting your horse run back to the barn. His parents had a few to many barn sour horses. "You can go along and gallop back if you want and I can meet you back there."
The mares movement was the last straw for Chaos. Pinning his ears he dipped his head away from the mare and kicked out. "Cut it out." Reese growled at the stud. It wasn't his fault though, any horse would have reacted like that if a misbehaved horse kept nipping at it. "Yeah they get along until that happens." He shot the mare a look. This added to his thoughts of jumpers being airheads.

"You sure, there's a mile left of the trail?" Tugging softly against the right side of Sayda's bit, forcing her to move to the right, from Chaos."Sorry" She said having watched the stallion kick out she scolded her somewhat before looking back to Reese. "Okay I'll meet you, unless you melt under this heat." A smile crossed her face as she dipped the mare ahead, her walk breaking into a canter as they pulled away from the other two.
Snorting roughly, she kicked up her heals as Marie leaned forward a bit, letting the mare gallop out her legs. Sayda wouldn't be exercised on chase anyways, not for a while, so she relaxed on her seat, letting her run with the bit. The mare's thudding hooves grew rhythmic as the beads of sweat started to move to the side of her face. Soon they were coming along the last stretch, knowing that the barn was at a close she sat back in the saddle, bringing the mare to a perky canter and then a trot. Leaning her hand up, and slapped Sayda's neck firmly before collecting the reins.
Leaning she glanced back over her shoulder, wondering if they would catch up and decided to slow her down to a walk to wait some. The mare's neck had collected blotches of dampness as she shook her head, teeth mouthing the bit again. Ears flicked back as she listened to Marie speak. "You didn't do a nice impression on Chaos" Tenderly stern, Marie nodded her head slowly as Sayda eyeballed her. A sharp snort seemed to object what her handler told her, which only made Marie laugh and rub her palm on the mare's neck as they waited.

"That's a pretty good possibility, I am made out of sugar." A smirk creeping across his face almost not noticeable, hidden his hat. Sitting deeper in the saddle he watch the other pair gallop off down the trail. Chaos protested for a minute before deciding it was way to hot to be doing so. Once Chaos settled down, Reese pushed him forward into a lope, transitioned into a jog for a few strides before pushing him into a trot again. Again it was one of the little exercises to get Chaos's mind of everything
At a walk again they emerged from the trail, spotting Marie a little a head of them. Chaos payed no attention to the mare. "Lets have a look at this horse of yours." He called to her as he maneuvered Chaos a safe distance around the pair and toward the stables. Once there he dismounted and heaved the sweat drenched pad and saddle off the studs back.

Marie followed behind them on a snorting Sayda. Soon they reached the barn where she dismounted and quickly removed the mare's tack. Leading her with the bridle she opened the shaded corral's gate and led her in. Squealing the mare took off in an eager romp. Tack in hand, Marie locked the gate and walked to the barn to show him Anthem.
