She stayed quiet for awhile... just sitting there, minding her own business, more or less thinking of ways to annoy him. Then it came to her, a wicked grin emerging on her face. She was so proud of herself in that moment, "I know a guy... you'd like him..." she pulled out her cell phone, "He's pretty tall, beautiful blue eyes and really sweet. I'm going to set you two up on a blind date," finding that magic number in her phone, she looked over to him, "... If you want, that is."
It took everything within her to keep from laughing, but she managed - barely. There were traces of an amused feeling within her as she kept her eyes on him, and her thumb ever so close to that 'send' button. Reese couldn't fool her either... She knew he'd checked her out, therefor no bad judgements were to be made. Leslie was not new to this game, but she could play along like she was.

"Really?! That would be fantastic!" He kept up his lisp but tryed to keep his grin under wraps, which he was failing at. "Your so silly!" He added to the act by snapping his wrist in her directions. "Wont you be jealous though?" Resting his left arm on the window he rolled his eyes dramatically, "all the girls say the the good ones are always gay?" The harder he tried to act the part the harder it was to stop the smile creep across his face. The last part made him let out a quick laugh before turning off the highway.
"You don't need to tell me about your boyfriend to make me jealous cowgirl." Turning into the auction yard he leaned close to her "I could have you anyway." This was all in good fun, but most girls couldn't handle it. They always said he was 'to forward' or 'a perv' when the truth was he was just having a little fun. It was his own way of weeding out the girls that wanted a "cowboy" boyfriend or the ones that always had to have a boyfriend.

Leslie just watched him for a moment... had he really just said that? An unconvinced emotion took over, "You couldn't handle this even if you could get it." The wild child sat back in the seat as he chose a parking place. He hadn't seen her buzzed on alcohol yet. Just wait until that happens. "... And you won't get it." Just had to add that little bit in there.
Hard to get - it was fun - to pursue and be pursued. Reese was a challenge, and Leslie particularly liked that about him. She'd been to her fair share of rodeos, where the bronc busters and bull riders had buckle bunnies hanging onto them like they were Gods and expected you to do as much. She didn't tolerate it, but she knew Reese was in it for the fun.
She leaned in very close to him, speaking in a low seductive tone, "... Well you might get it... but you're damn well gonna earn it," with that, she hopped out of the truck, a grin plastered to her face with her accomplishments.

He couldn't believe it, she hadn't been disgusted out by his comment. Well this is new. It was an amusing game they were playing, they both new there was a little spark between them. Was it persuadable yet? Who knows but at least they both had a good idea what they were in store for.
Climbing out of the truck, he picked up his pace to catch up to her. Once there he placed his arm around her shoulder and leaned into her "Don't worry babe....I don't want it" Letting her make what she wanted out of that comment he moved ahead of her, his keys swinging around his finger. A grin plastered to his face.
Checking over his shoulder to make sure she was still in tow he started inspecting some of the horses. He had no idea what Leslie was looking for and he really didn't want to go home with another horse. Scanning the cluster of horses nothing seemed to pop out to him...yet.

Her mind scrambled as he one upped her... She had nothing to say to that. Not yet. That one had caught her well off guard. Damn him! Damn him to hell! Alas, she couldn't help but roll her eyes and smile. "Well just come out of the closet already and we won't be having these problems!" Calling out to him as he moved forward, she stepped past him, using her size as an advantage to weave through the people to take a look-see at what was here.
Taking her time to read through pedigrees, Leslie was more or less just looking for a balanced, sound horse. It didn't even have to be sane - she could handle it. She had her ways. Though her search process kept her slow, giving Mr. Ego time to catch up - and giving her mind time to think up some more insults.
"Look at this one... big head, cryptoid, and not very pretty to look at..." she motioned to the colt, "You two have a lot in common."

Bingo, he grinned and stared at her back he scrambled for an comeback "cowgirl I already told you I don't want to make you jealous by openly dating men." Following her through the crowd he stopped and watched a few horses her and there. There was actually quite a few that caught his eye but he quickly dismissed them. Not due to the fact that they had something medically or physically wrong with them, just for the fact he had his hands full with Chaos.
Every time he took a second to check out a horse it seemed like he lost Lesile in the crowd. It was like play wheres waldo. Finally spotting her he maneuvered his way through the maze of people until reaching her side "you really need some stilts." Shacking his head he let his eyes rest on the horse in question. She was right he had a lot of good qualities about him but one could never be so sure at places like these. "You don't need to keep complementing me cowgirl. I know you want me." Winking at her he turned back to the horse "not bad, as long as he has a clean vet check."

Stilts, yeah. She hadn't heard that one before, "And you could use some balls, now man up. And you don't have to be worried about make me jealous - I'm very comfortable with the fact you're gay. Not that I'd like you even if you happened to be straight." It was useless trying to contain a bit of a giggle that crept out. Her brows pursed, looking up at him, "A clean vet check? Does that mean you've been having unprotected sex with whorish men, Cowboy? Don't be silly... wrap your willy." Oh, Christ. No wonder this girl was single. She hadn't a classy bone in her body, nor did she know shame.
She moved to the other side of him, getting a better look at a different horse, "Or maybe... You're pretending you're gay because you like me a lot, and you know that I am so far out of your league, it's not even funny... yet you have this urge to be around me, so you've become the sassy gay bff." Giving him a sideways look, she waited for the answer, her face unusually placid and convinced of the argument she'd given.

"Don't you just have a mouth on you."He laughed "Now I know your thinking about me in bed." Leaning over again he whispered "I don't normally do that on the first date" He was enjoying this.
Scanning the horses again his eyes rested on a lanky looking two year old. Hmmm...perfect. His mind was only half on the horses, he was still trying to figure out quick comebacks and ways to get her all flustered.
Her last comment made him laugh a little harder then before. Kinda, he played it up a little. "Me? Out of your league. Well thats a new one." Again he placed his arm over her shoulder so he could whisper as her. "I think your the one that has the urge to be around me." It was only half the truth. He did enjoy her company and she was different then most of the airheads that float around the school. It didn't change anything yet. Standing like that for a second not even realizing it he stared at the filly.
Finally lifting that arm away he moved toward the horses. "Well cowgirl, this may be what you want, or something like this. She's big bone, long neck, good back. A little lanky but they all grow into themselves." He didn't know if he was trying to convince her or himself that this was a horse to take home. "You don't see a lot of blue roans around anymore." He through in there with a sigh.

"Yeah Cowboy... I can see you in my bed now... you lying there... me straddling you with you writhing beneath me..." Sounding a little hot here huh? "...because I'd be smothering you with a pillow." Psych. Smiling innocently she looked to the roan and studied it for a bit.
Blue roans were gorgeous in coloring but it was also difficult to find one with a decent build, "Yeah... But I prefer a stockier build. And more chrome," looking back to him, "You seem sold though." Leslie knew that look as she'd hosted it many times herself on various occasions at sale yards.
Leslie had spied something across the other side of the barn, able to tell from even the distance that it was a good looking equine. Keeping these thoughts to herself, she was much more interested in having wars of words with Reese.

"You just can't stop imagining me in bed. I bet you dream about it at night....I'm going to let you in on a little secret." He spoke quieter his gaze concentrated on hers "You'll never get me in bed sweetheart." Smiling he looked back at the filly. It was a constant mind battle about it but at the same time he couldn't get distracted for a second or Lesile would win their little 'fight'.
"Unfortunately I think I am." He mumbled, he hated hearing these words. This is exactly why he never did horse sales. Allowing her time to look he shot her a new questions, sure to fluster her "So why is all this tension toward me? Don't want your boyfriend finding out about your little crush?" Well he hoped it flustered her.

Leslie rolled her eyes at his insisting comments that she had a boyfriend. Not helping but to just glare at him, "I don't have a boyfriend. I have better things to worry about." That's what she always told herself anyway, and it got to the point where she believed it. The serious demeanor changed, "I wouldn't want you in bed. I bet you look horrible naked... But I could have you if I wanted you." Using his own words against him, she looked more-so through the pen of horses as she left his side.
She walked up to the pen of the big sorrel overo boy. At the time, he wasn't much to look at, thankfully Leslie could see beyond the scraggly unconditioned mess of a horse. Overall, she liked him - had a good feeling about him, so stood there and watched him for a moment and wrote down his hip number amongst three others. Yeah, she liked him. The horse - not the man... well she kinda liked him too, but that was not what she was here for... but it kind of was in a weird way. Though she also had no idea if he was just poking fun at her, or if maybe he had a slight liking too. Leslie had to remind herself that she absolutely was not here for that. She was here to find another prospect, not to flirt with a man despite how easy he made it.

"Yup I'm huge, I wear a gurtel."He shot at her rubbing his hand up and down his stomach. "Can't you tell?" Looking around for the roans owner he tried to get his mind away from her and the horse. It was impossible for one, and it was starting to seem both. "You could not have me....I do have standards."He called after her, his face blank leaving the impression to most he was serious.
Wondering away he found the roans owner. They chatted it up for a few minutes and bickered about the price only for Reese to tell them that he'll think about it. Hopefully it'll be gone by the time he made up his mind. Lazily he made his way back to where he left Lesile to her own adventures.

Leslie finished up going through the pen, paying no attention to Reese. Nah, she planned on ignoring him for awhile, disappearing off into the crowd and reemerging with a beer as she found a place to sit with a couple of people she knew, chatting them up and seeing Reese no where. Eh, he'd find her. Maybe. Sipping on her beverage, she had no plans of getting smashed. Nah, just a little something to drink to get her barrier down even more which... might not have been a good idea.
The auction was to start in seven minutes, and she was at least nice enough to save the Cowboy a seat if he dared to sit by her. She had a good spot - able to see the arena and the horse being sold, but not so close you couldn't see everything around you.

Standing in the spot where he left her he looked around. No sign of her. Shrugging he took the filly's number down and went to get his own. The crowd had started to migrate to the ring, the stands looked full. Great. Pushing his way through the crowd he grabbed a spot on the fense. He didn't feel like standing but hey beggars can't be choosers.Every now and then he glanced over his shoulder to see if he could spie Leslie. No luck.
Some of the registered names sounded familiar, some people looked familiar. Not to the point where he would shoot the shit with any of them but just faces he thought he remember from past rodeos, world shows, auctions, and even a few that could have bought a horse at his parents stable.
It wasn't long before his filly was up, she didn't start very high but her price kept rising fast. Laying low he wanted for the prime time, watching people get to their limit and sadly lower their number. Just as the announcer was about to close the sale he raised his number up nonchalantly. The other buyer and himself went back and fourth and thankfully he bought out. A satisfied grin spread across his face.

Sucker. She smiled, her eyes turning back to the ring. A few more horses went through the auction, the other two on her list. She didn't much care for them. Then her main boy came through, and she set a good few bids on him. They didn't get very high, there was no reason for them to. Not yet. Her bid went for a whopping grand, and soon she found herself moving down, and behind Reese and pinched his butt as she passed, walking back to the pens with a pleased expression.
Well, he did have a nice rear view. She didn't really know how he'd take it, but she was sure there weren't going to be major repercussions... were there? A little worried, but not so much, she went back to see her new shiney mess of a horse. He was a little spooky, snorting and unsure of what had just happened, but that was okay by her.
