"You could not have them on their backs. You have to be able to enunciate to really impress them," she shot him a doubtful look. The paint gelding pinned his ears back, moving an outstretched 'I could bite you' lip to her, not really taking the filly's bluff.
"Boy, it's confidence and knowledge that I am AWESOME in bed... I can sleep for days. Now, if you're talking about sex? Yeah, I'm still awesome. Too bad you'll never know," she turned her eyes back tot he horses in front of her before feeling his arm around her, "Hey, hey, hey! Now... You can grab my ass all you want, but I don't know you well enough to hug you!" That was... backwards. Shaking it off, she nodded towards the horses, "I think they wanna be put up now."

"Well well don't you just have an attitude." Picking up the lead and opened the gate and slid through. Spying him the filly took a few steps back. 'wonderful.' standing for a moment he let the filly eye him, he wasn't in the mood to play keep away with her. At last he took a step forward and quickly grabbed her halter, once the lead was clipped he rubbed her face, small blue hair falling like snow. "Looks like you need a little TLC." He said to the filly. Waiting until Leslie had the colt restrained he led the filly out of the indoor. It was probably time to name her, but he was drawing blanks. It usually takes him awhile to figure out a well suited name, unless on from their registered name pops out.
Finally back at her stall he slipped the halter off still in disbelief he now owned two horses. The second the halter was off the filly practically nose dived into her hay. "Easy killa." He laughed watching the horse for a second. Giving her a final pat he left the stall and went to see Chaos. The stud greeted him at the stall door knowing what was to come. Rolling his eyes at the horse Reese reached into his pocket and pulled out a mint. Giving him one more before leaving. Reaching the door he turned and waited for her. "well cowgirl looks like I'll be seeing you around."He gave her a sheepish before turning and heading towards the parking lot.

"Goodnight Reese," She watched him leave, before bidding the horses a good night and shutting the barn down. Sleeping relatively well, she found herself up and going again shortly after that. Damn the nights didn't stay long enough. All was quiet as the sun rose of Hawthorne's facility, the early sun basking the place in gold as the sound of horses being fed and eating was heard. Deciding the two had gotten along well the previous night, she turned her gelding and his filly out together on the front lot for the early half of the day, bringing them in around one o clock.
Never being one to waste precious time, she lead her gelding, who she'd been calling Cowboy for lack of a better name, to the round pen and carefully tacked him up. He took it well, and she had understood that he only had a handful of rides on him. Tightening the cinch snugly, she sent him out to work and the paint never offered to buck.
Changing directions, she worked him the other way. Leslie wanted to at least break a little sweat on him before getting up there. It came easily enough in the heat. Tossing a hackamore on him, she carefully mounted, watching every expression he might make and yet he simply stood there. Their little ride lasted for about half an hour, and happy with the progress Leslie would dismount and take him back into the stables, stripping him of his tack and taking him to the wash stalls.

The night before had been pretty uneventful to say the least. A couple lonely beers and a corny TV show weren't his cup of tea but there wasn't much for him to do around here. Back home he would have been at a party within hours of leaving the barn. They weren't always crazy typical parties, maybe a bonfire, camping trip, or mud run. There was always something for him to do.
Today started the same as the past two days, arriving during the heat of the day to work horses. You would have thought his lack of night life would have him here bright and early to miss the heat but nope not Reese. He always made everything more difficult then it had to be. Chaos didn't look like he was too enthused at the thought of work either. Still half asleep, Reese slipped his halter on and clipped him in the cross ties. Quickly running a brush over Chaos he inspected the stud for anything abnormal. Nothing. Disappearing into the tack room he reappeared with his saddle and pad just in time to see Leslie walking her colt to the wash racks. "Morning Cowgirl...want to ride another one?" He called over his shoulder as he walked back to Chaos. Truth was he wasn't exactly in the mood to ride but it was something that needed to be done or Chaos would act like he had been given a year off.

Leslie hosed off her new beast and smiled at him, "That depends... two legs or four?" How she enjoyed the constant bickering and stabs she made at him. Rinsing the paint horse off, she didn't make much of a matter of it as he danced a bit. He'd get use to it with time. It didn't take long for her to lead him back to the stall, and Leslie looked at his horse, yet stayed quiet and making sure her paint had water. Emerging from the stall and sliding the door shut, she leaned against the wall and watched him.
"He has a nice ass." So she appreciated horses with big rears. "Have you ever set him on barrels?" She loved the thrill of speed events, it was something she couldn't get enough of. Though his noon time visit made her wonder and quirk her brow, "Do you have a real job?" Random, yes but that's how her mind worked, like it was on overdrive trying to figure things out, and she figured there were alot of things about one Reese Miller to figure out.

"Both" He shot back at her throwing the saddle on Chaos's back. Adjusting the saddle he tightened the cinch before he had time to bloat. Moving the the front he messed with the breastplate. Out of everything the pair had won together this breastplate was one of the favorites. Probably because it was the first big thing they had won together. "He doesn't seem like he would make the best barrel pony...I'm not in the mood to ride so if you feel like working in this heat for another thirty minutes the offer stands." Reaching for the bridle he unclipped the halter and let it fall to one wall, still attached to one cross-tie. Chaos stood calmly, head low, ears flicked to the sides, eyes drooping.
"I have had a few odd jobs, I finished up college to become an architect but my parents suckered me into going back and helping them. I sold a few for some big money, almost paying off my half the loans. I should probably start my career sometime soon....it sounds a little saddle clubby by but I can't really imagine myself being away from these things." Nodding towards Chaos he buckled the throat latch. Looping the reins around the saddle horn he started the annoying task of putting on the polos.

"Don't blame your horse for your lack of finesse. You're probably afraid to go that fast." Watching him, her brows shrugged, "I'll ride him. Just don't be mad when I make him better," but now her mind was running. Running with the idea that he was an architect. Mouth quirking to one side, it was strange how this fell into place wasn't it?
Voice, as serious as it had been, "I took out a loan to buy one hundred acres of land. I'm thinking of building my own place on it. My brother and I are like oil and water and I think it's time to part ways. So what do you say, Cowboy? Wanna doodle on some blue paper for me? Just let me know what you want for it." Yeah, Leslie was tired of the english folk around here. Truth be told Western riders had never been completely welcome, and if it had not been for her? They would not be welcome at all.
She was tired of fighting Marc over rights to this and that, and why should she have to? She put just as much time into this place as he did.

"I guess I should but my education to work sometime" That was what he enjoyed the most; designing barns. Houses were always the same, no one ever seemed to put enough time into making their house different from the rest, it was always just them keeping up with the Joneses. Handing Leslie the reins he started toward the indoor "Baking in the sun isn't my idea of an afternoon." Opening the gate he waited for the to move inside then met them in the middle. "He has good brakes. Your best bet is to use your seat instead of the bit, just some words of advice." Leslie was one of the few people ever allowed to ride Chaos. The only other people were his parents and two of his friends that he had grown up riding with. He wasn't one to let random people get on his horse, having his parents work in the horse world has allowed him to witness what can happen if a horse falls in the wrong hands. It doesn't take much to ruin a good horse. Any other time he wouldn't have offered this or even thought about offering Chaos to someone to ride but this was different. How? He wasn't sure yet but it just was.

Thankfully, Leslie was no stranger to seat ridden horses having spent years in the pleasure pen. "Anything else? Weird little cues you've taught him to buck or otherwise?" smirking, she stepped in the stirrup and pushed herself off the ground to mount the relatively new horse. Keeping the reins draped loose, she squeezed him forward with her calves to walk forward and get him warmed up.
Sitting pretty in the saddle, playing around a bit to find Chaos' buttons and asking him to leg yield, she made conversation with Reese as well, asking small question, "So have you trained horses or are you just in it for a hobby?" Yeah, Leslie was going somewhere with this, but she needed to know more about him before just asking him.
As dumb as a question it might have been, she knew keeping a reining horse tuned took a lot of knowledge and know-how but it never hurt to just ask and get an idea where the other was coming from.

Stepping back towards the gait he watched the pair. He hadn't watched Chaos go in a while. The stud moved forward a bit confused by the change of rider. His neck low and relaxed, ears flicked back tuned into Leslie. From the looks of it he was going to show up Reese by acting like an angle with another rider.
"My parents train horses for a living, we have a pretty big name actually. You may have heard of us but that depends what you have shown in. My mom's thing is the pleasure and trail aspect of the quarter horse world and my dad is more of the reining, cutting, roping part of it." That was a little cocky, it was the truth though. There was a more bashful way of explaining that but he was pretty proud of it all. "I've been riding and showing since before I could walk and training since I was about 15. I was 18 when I started my own horse, sold it and kept all the profit. I guess now it will become a hobby once I start my new actual career, it's kind of sad though. I saw myself doing that until the day I died.

Leslie looked over to him, scoffing slightly, "You have plenty of time before you die. And who says this isn't a real career?" Walking the horse out more, she asked him to pick up a jog. Clearing her throat, "I didn't show quarter horses. I was more into the paints. Harder to keep clean, but prettier to look at," Yeah, something about those splotches of white mesmerized her.
Chaos seemed to be a pretty easy ride, but it wasn't often she was aboard a truly broke horse. Taking some time to shut and ride, she played with him a little more, testing these breaks that Reese bragged on, rolling him back and trotting off again. "So, say I get this new place up and going... you wanna come work for me?" Well she had to get some small army, right?

"Same things different colors." He believed that for all the stock horses. He would prefer one of those against all the air headed breeds of the english world.
Chaos came to a halt with in a strode every time, his body tucked up under itself, a few times he let his hind slid. It was nothing big or even noticeable if you didn't know what it felt like. Picking up his pace a little each time he was sent off in a jog again.
The offer was a decent one, something he had always wanted but he wasn't so sure "so I come work for you...and you get all the fame and fortune?" It did actually seem like a ligament offer but just making sure. Watching the two move around the ring he noticed how Chaos was a little edgy, like he does before a good work out. "You're doing good....you can do whatever on him, it doesn't bother me." That wasn't a complement that comes out a lot.

"They may be the same, but at least I can tell paints apart from sorrel, sorrel, bay, sorrel, bay, bay, sorrel, sorrel, sorrel, bay-" she continued, "And of course I get the fame and fortune. I'm the better looking of the two of us." Grinning, and taking his okay to actually ride the horse, she did just that, sending him up into a lope, keeping him collected as she put him on the rail to get a feel for him.
It didn't take her long for her to push him through the middle, asking for a change of lead. Lifting her seat a bit, and giving him his head she let him lope as freely as he desired. "Actually, I was quite serious about the offer. I know what I'll charge for board, and you can set whatever price you want with your training, and take what's left." It was only fair for him to get what he deserved, "But, you need to decide how many stalls you want for training horses so those will stay empty for your clients." She asked Chaos to change his lead again, letting him have another larger circle before sitting back softly in the seat and having him collect back down a gear.
"So whad'ya say, Cowboy?"

"Maybe that explains why I place a lot." He joked gesturing toward Chaos. "He doesn't fit that mold you just set" Chaos set off at the lope, moving into frame. If it wasn't for Chaos's unpredictable personality he would be like any other push button horse. He would be a perfect lesson horse for an experienced rider wanting to learn to rein or just brush up on some skills. "You've been planning this out for a while now haven't you." It was a nice offer, with both their names in the mix they may be able to pull in a hand full of good clients right of the bat.
Leaning against the fence he watched the pair, lost in thought over her last question. "Well how many stalls do you plan on having and do you know how you want this all set up?" It was defiantly something they would have to discuss more but he was in. "I'm in." He grinned. "have you thought about teaching lessons?"

Leslie turned Chaos towards the gate, stopping in advance enough not to slide into it when she rolled back on her pockets to stop him. "It's not so much that I think for extended periods of time... I just think quickly in a short amount of time... Kinda ADHD in that respect..." Letting her hands rest atop each other on the horn and relaxing her legs against the sides of the palomino she was astride, "I don't know... Maybe twenty. I was thinking thirty but that might be a little too ambitious."
Ah lessons. She shrugged, "I guess I could, I haven't thought much about it though." Leaning forward a bit, draping the reins over the horn, her hands moved to scratch Chaos' crest as a reward, "Such a good boy. He talks bad about you all the time, I know. I'd give him sass too - oh wait.." she already did. Sitting back up, "I have no idea how I want it set up. I know I want some basic stalls.. concrete aisles or the rubber pavers... I don't know - be creative."
